EMBRIO International Workshop (EIW) 2026

After a four-year hiatus related to COVID-19, a meeting of the Asian Society of Ichthyologists will be held at Universiti Sains Malaysia in Penang, Malaysia on 28-29 May 2024. The meeting will include two days of presentations (talks and posters).

Previous conferences were held in Penang in 2014, Guilin in 2015, Taipei in 2016, Ho Chi Minh City in 2017, Nanning in 2018, and Aceh in 2019. Attendees at each conference have numbered between 150 and 250.

On behalf of the organizing committee, we welcome ichthyologists, fisheries biologists, and anyone interested in Asian fishes to attend the ASIIC2024 Conference, which is jointly organized by the Asian Society of Ichthyologists, Universiti Sains Malaysia, Universiti Malaysia Terengganu with support from Universitas Syiah Kuala (USK), Indonesia and IPB University, Bogor, Indonesia. The conference will provide an excellent opportunity to share latest research results, develop collaborations, and promote research on Asian fishes.
